     Native New Orleanian Wayne Maureau has over  twenty years experience performing and recording with top New Orleans artists in all genres of music. He has also performed with international artists and at festivals and music venues around the world. Best known for his versatility he captures the essence and feel of any style of music from Jazz and Latin to Funk and Blues.

     Wayne is currently a member of New Orleans legendary R&B, Blues and Funk band Walter "Wolfman" Washington & the Roadmasters. They perform weekly in the crescent city and are frequently on tour in the states and abroad. In 2013 they received the Big Easy award for best R&B band in New Orleans.

     Wayne maintains a busy freelance sideman schedule often performing with The Lena Prima Band, The Colin Lake Band, The Jimmy Carpenter Band, Chris Mule' and the Perpetrators, Gringo do Choro, Vivaz Latin band and many other top artists in the city. He has released two CDs featuring his original compositions and unique arrangements.

     In his capacity as artist/educator, Wayne serves as adjunct faculty percussion instructor at Loyola University and Delgado Community College.  He has given clinics and master classes throughout the Southeastern United States and published The Multi-Stylist drummer, a method book detailing his approach to the drums. He is a member of the Loyola University Faculty Jazz Septet and holds endorsements with Bosphorus Cymbals, Aquarian Drumheads and Fortune Drums.
